Time
Where has the time gone? I can't believe I haven't blogged in a long time. I guess I've been paying more attention to Facebook. I'm busy now creating Christmas presents and cards, so I don't have anything that I can post yet.

Tiggy's cousin spotted on hiking trail
Kirk saw Tiggy's cousin on the hiking trail at Rancho San Antonio this morning...a mountain lion. The mountain lion was about 75 feet ahead of them on the trail. Of course he didn't get a picture. Kirk and his hiking buddy were a little scared to even think about getting a picture.

Quickutz Epic vs the Big Shot
Well, I used the Epic with the clear cutting mat it came with and a clear XL Big Shot cutting mat. They are very similar in height. I was cutting a Bigz XL Sizzix die. It was a little hard to get it started, but once I did it worked fine. I'm not too thrilled with the handle. A little flimsy for such a big die. I still like my Big Shot more.
I'll give an update once I use a Quickutz die in it.

Altered Book entries

I've been a creating fool. An altered book page swap I'm in is almost done. Well, my entries at least. I only have 4 more to do. Here is the latest pages I've turned in.
Update...Moms visit
My mother came to visit for 2.5 weeks. We had a good time...a lot of shopping and day trips to Napa, Gilroy and the beach.

Altered Page 4 Shoes

I am very proud of how this one turned out. I saw this in the Marie Antoinette issue of Somerset and just had to make it. I used wallpaper to make the shoe cone. The background is an embossed napkin that I painted with Making Memories Glaze paint.
Altered Page 3 Through the Window

I had a lot of fun creating this page. I used the Stampington window stamp and cut it out to place woman image behind it. The flowers are created with Flower Soft. The background is blue acrylic paint. When dried, I sponge white acrylic paint to look like clouds.
Altered Page 2 Birds

Pretty basic. I used Hero Art wood stamp for the background. The bird cage is Basic Grey. I also used my Versamark Dazzle pad to put a sparkle on the acrylic painted items.

Haven't posted much in April
I was sick for 5 days, started to feel better for a day and then had a sinus infection that put me down for 5 days...the day I started to feel normal I sprained my ankle. It's 8 days later and I'm starting to feel normal. The ankle is still really bruised and still hurts a lot, but I can get around much better now. Drove for the first time yesterday. This was the same ankle I sprained in 2002/2003 and that took 2 years to heal so who knows.
That was my month of April 2009, fun huh?
