Lifebook2014 Week 1

Here is my guardian....I forgot to make room for wings...I promise to make a girl with wings.

I love blue and green on paper. I find it soothing and relaxing. I had lumbar back surgery in October, so my affirmation for 2014 is RENEW. I need to take care of my mind, body and soul this year and get stronger. I love the saying Relax, Refresh, Renew.

I'm going to bind my pages at the end of the year. Simultaneously, I have been working on a pink headed girl in my art journal....I created her from my mind instead of using a stencil.

I am an artist

Another tiny art journal page completed.  I used my Inktense pencils/blocks to color the Hero Arts flower on the right.

This page came together as soon as I sat down. I had stamped the girl in my art journal first...today I added Gelato's for the background and I did the lettering by hand. The bird is Stampin Up and I used Faber Castell art grip pencils.

Finally, finished something!  Art therapy works wonders on the soul too!

Inspired by an ad in a cooking magazine...woman came from there as well as the color inspiration. I used Letraset AquaMarkers on my Moleskine 9x12 Sketchbook.

Baby Card

My neighbor is having a baby. Stamping Up Daffodil Delight ink, CS, sizzix die, hello baby and thread. Unity kit club stamp and Sassafras Wee Bundle pattern paper. I've been using this layout a lot. The patter paper changes the tone....babies, men, etc.

Made some cards yesterday

I finally made some new cards yesterday....finally. I haven't been very creative lately. Just haven't felt like it. I've spent some time cleaning up my craft room which has helped. I had to make room to be able to get to my supplies....lol.

Now all I need to do is mail the cards out!

Bad Haircut

I got such a bad haircut 3 weeks ago, I'm seriously thinking about flying 3,000 miles round trip to have my cousin Laura fix it!

Where has the time gone? I can't believe I haven't blogged in a long time. I guess I've been paying more attention to Facebook. I'm busy now creating Christmas presents and cards, so I don't have anything that I can post yet.
