Altered book-See Possibility Everywhere

Starting to work in altered books again. Found pretty paper to decorate ugly cover. Stamped girl on wax/deli paper.

Had fun creating her. Very scary...drew her by hand, liked how it turned out and was so afraid to mess up when painting and going over pencil lines with black pen.

Also, found out ink comes forward even though I gesso'd and used acrylic paint on top. Happy accident covering up stencil cleanup.

Time for Tea 12x12 canvas

Inspired to start this 12x12 canvas after watching a Tracy Weinzapfel Mixed Media Monday last week. Doilies under the background, texture made with gesso, white embossing paste, gold embossing paste, Tim Holtz Sizzix tea cups die used with book paper, Stephanie Barnard Sizzix Teapot and font used for Time and Tea. Stabilo water soluble pencil for outlining. Paints are Golden and Claudine Hellmuth.
